Gaby Blumberg

German-born artist Gabriele Blumberg is based in Cape Town, where she creates expressive paintings inspired by nature, memory and the experiences that shape us.

Her work explores the connection between the landscapes around us and our inner worlds, using layered textures, gestural marks and fragmented forms. Gabriele works intuitively, allowing each painting to develop naturally as she builds layers of colour, texture and form. Her work has been exhibited at SASA Gallery, Kirstenbosch, Bellville Art Centre and the Hout Bay & Llandudno Art Fair. She was a finalist in the 2024 Vuleka Art Competition and received a SASA Award in 2026 for Dissolving Memory.
