Nicola von Bratt

Nicola von Bratt is a Cape Town-based fine artist whose tactile, story-driven abstract and mixed-media works serve as physical anchors in an increasingly digital and fleeting world. Holding a Master's degree in Textiles from London's Royal College of Art, von Bratt constructs multi-dimensional layers using acrylics, raw charcoal, oil pastel, hand-cut paper collages and impasto. Her aesthetic thrives on visual juxtaposition: traditional domestic motifs and expressive continuous-line figures sit alongside weathered textures and high-energy strikes of neon pink, cerulean, and gold.
