Join renowned illustrator Karen Vermeulen for a wildly fun, high-energy evening where creativity meets a little bit of chaos (the good kind) at The Beach Bar in Hout Bay.
With great food, drinks, music, and good company, this is a creative night out unlike anything else — part illustration workshop, part games night, and completely designed to get you laughing, loosening up, and drawing in ways you never expected.
Guests will be able to order food and drinks for their own account from The Beach Bar throughout the evening, so come hungry, settle in, and make a night of it.

This is not your typical art workshop!
Think: part illustration workshop, part games night — where you’ll be challenged to draw faster, stranger, looser, and more imaginatively than you thought possible. Along the way, you’ll unlock new ways of thinking creatively, loosen up your style, and surprise yourself with what you can create.
Whether you’re “good at drawing” or haven’t picked up a pen in years, this is a completely judgment-free space designed to get you out of your head and into playful, instinctive creativity.
Expect laughter, unexpected results, and a stack of wonderfully weird drawings by the end of the night.
Oh — and yes, there will be prizes! Besides serious bragging rights, Think sketchbooks, pens, markers, as well as a chance to win drop in art classes at the studio

Her workshops are designed to break perfectionism, build creative confidence, and help you discover your own visual style — all through accessible, engaging exercises that anyone can do.
