About the Workshop
Have you always wanted to learn to sew but had no idea where to start? This incredible hands-on full-day workshop takes you through everything you need to know to go from a flat piece of fabric to a beautifully finished winter fleece gown — entirely made by you.
We cover:
- Taking accurate body measurements
- Selecting and tracing the correct pattern size
- Understanding fabric grain
- Laying out and cutting your pieces with confidence
- Pinning and assembling your garment
No experience whatsoever is needed — just a willingness to learn and enjoy the process.
What You'll Take Home
Each participant leaves with:
- One beautiful completed, wearable winter fleece gown you made
- A personal sewing hamper containing a tape measure, unpicker, pins and scissors — everything you need to keep sewing long after the day is done
About Jacqui Sundelson
Jacqui is a self-taught fashion designer whose love affair with fabric began at age twelve. Over the years, she's built four distinct creative labels: Belter (her clothing label), Shloompa (bold robes and gowns), Graze & Gossip (bespoke tableware), and The House of Sunny's (textile-based interior design). She brings that same passion and precision to teaching, sharing foundational skills that open the door to a lifetime of making.
Workshop Details
Price: R1 850 per person (If you choose to pay 50% deposit, balance will be due first week August)
Group Size: 6–8 participants
Age: 14+ recommended (involves scissors, pins, concentration over a full day)
Materials: All fabric and materials included
What to Bring: Lunch for yourself and your enthusiasm!
Refund & Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within 14 days of the workshop (or don't attend), refunds unfortunately cannot be offered. You're welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend at any time. If minimum guest numbers aren't reached, the workshop may be postponed or cancelled, in which case you'll receive a full refund.
