The Studio Is Officially in Full Swing (And We’re Slightly Obsessed)

The Studio is officially in full swing — and our creative community is growing faster than we imagined! With over 30 members already, weekly art classes filling up, popular drop-in sessions, and the launch of our brand-new Thursday NIGHT CLUB (think creative evenings with vino and incredible guest artists… but still home by 9 😉), there’s so much happening. From abstract and watercolours to weaving and embroidery workshops, March is packed with beautiful opportunities to create, connect and play.

Dear Creatives,

We’ve been open for just a couple of weeks… and wow. What a start.

The Studio has already become exactly what we hoped it would be — a tranquil, welcoming space where people can come and create, experiment, play and connect with like-minds. The vibe? Calm but alive. Focused but fun. Painty fingers and happy hearts.

We’ve been completely blown away by the positive feedback and how quickly this little community is growing. We’re already over 30 members and honestly… we can’t quite believe it. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for creating with us.

Let’s talk about something very important.

The NIGHT CLUB

(Don't worry,  We’re still in bed by 9.)

Our Drop-In sessions (R450, all materials included) have been wildly popular — which we love. They’re the perfect way to dip your toe in, test the waters, and see if a weekly creative ritual is something you’d like to sprinkle into your life.

But the NIGHT CLUB is a whole different kind of magic.

These will run on selected Thursday evenings from 6–8.30pm. Not every Thursday, but as many as we can organise — because we’re lining up incredible artists to host them.

Each one will be completely different.

Here’s the vibe:
Buy your ticket.
Bring your vino.
Pull in.
Be social.
Make something beautiful to take home.

Creative. Relaxed. A little buzzy. Very joyful.

First up: NIGHT CLUB with Amy

Playful Weaving Workshop
Thursday 12th March
R650 (all materials included)

You’ll create your own woven piece of art to take home — tactile, textured, gorgeous. It’s hands-on and satisfying in the best way.

 

Our Weekly Classes

If you’re looking for something more consistent, we currently have four weekly classes running during term time:

Monday 9–11am
Mixed Media Abstract with Donna Solovei
Perfect for beginners and intermediate creatives.

Wednesday 10–12pm (Currently Full – Join the Waitlist!)
Abstract Art with Sue Orpen
Ideal for experienced artists or those with some background.

Thursday 10–12pm
Watercolours with the lovely Kerri Sassen
Great for beginners and intermediates.

Friday 10–12pm
Permission to Play with Zara Leigh Farinha
A beautiful beginner-friendly space to loosen up and explore.

Classes are R1500 per month (one class per week), running during school term.

10–1.30pm

Slow stitching, mindful making, and learning something new in a relaxed, supportive environment.
