Why is creativity important? By Georgina Vintin

Why is creativity important? By Georgina Vintin

It's not just to make something pretty or impactful, but to connect within and between.

I first became interested in the arts at a very late stage in my life, just 7-8 years ago.  It started in the garden.  Creating little flowerbeds of succulents and plant pots mixing and matching desert roses and spekbom and pencil cacti.  I loved it.  Watching it grow, spilling over the edges of my pots and adding that stunning layer of natural texture.

From there I joined a hiking group.  I never hiked with them BUT I did get an invite to a Ceramic Pottery Group here in Hout Bay.  I joined, I loved it, I bought my own kilns and now I teach too!  For me it's about connection with other creative humans who want to join in on that weekly creative ritual in a collective.

I also think that because there is no right or wrong in art you therefore have to lean into yourself and your own gut feel and each micro decision you make comes from within.  This is very special.

We form those vital pathways for decision making which we need in every day life.  Your gut knows what is best for you.  Come join us to build your connection both within and between!
